Curriculum Vitae

Willian Vent studied industrial engineering and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science. In his final thesis for the Bachelor's degree, Mr Vent optimized the repair process of centrifugal pumps by applying Six Sigma in cooperation with a specialty chemicals group. The final thesis of the Master's degree, which was also written in cooperation with a chemical company, deals with the development of a model for analyzing the efficiency of pumps and compressors to optimize maintenance costs. Since September 2021, Mr Vent has been an external doctoral student at TU Dortmund University in the ITPL department. His research focuses on the configuration of production networks based on the combined application of reinforcement learning (RL) and discrete-event simulation (DES).
